Mission Statement

The mission of the Toronto International Film and Video Awards (TIFVA) is to support and promote independent artists in the film industry.

The Toronto International Film and Video Awards (TIFVA) is a Toronto-based not-for-profit awards ceremony/film festival whose founders are committed to the support and promotion of independent artists in the film industry. TIFVA was started by local filmmakers who identified a gap that exists between independent filmmakers and their community, and the challenges of gaining recognition for their work. Through a unique set of offerings TIFVA bridges this gap and in the process creates an environment of support and growth.

WE GIVE FEEDBACK!

What makes TIFVA different from other festivals is that we strive to help artists develop their talent and as a result, we provide constructive feedback for every entry submitted to the festival that doesn't win an award. Opinions from industry professionals are crucial to an artist's growth and TIFVA will provide input on all submissions.
